Problem Note 53865: A "CLI execute error" occurs in SAS/ACCESS® Interface to ODBC when you write to Microsoft SQL Server tables that include DATETIME2 fields
When you use SAS/ACCESS Interface to ODBC with the BULKLOAD=YES option to write to Microsoft SQL Server tables that include DATETIME2 fields, the following error occurs:
ERROR: CLI execute error: [Microsoft][SQL Server Native Client 11.0]Datetime field overflow.
Fractional second precision exceeds the scale specified in the parameter binding.
For example, the error might occur when you submit code such as the following:
libname test odbc user=user-ID password=password dsn=dsn-for-ms-sql-server;
data test.ms-sql-server-table (bulkload=yes);
set sas-data-set;
run;
This problem does not occur when BULKLOAD is set to NO (the default setting).
